That's why we're proud to offer the Nissan Newcomer Program -- a financing option designed specifically for new Canadians who don't yet have a Canadian credit history.

North Island Nissan has the best newcomer to Canada approval program! On approved credit, we can finance/lease a vehicle up to double your work permit/visa time! All we would need is an online application, your two most recent pay stubs, and a copy of your work permit. We've helped countless people just like you!

Who Qualifies?

The Nissan Newcomer Program at NIN is available to new Canadians holding a valid:
• Work Permit
• Study Permit
• Permanent Resident (PR) card

You do not need an established Canadian credit score to apply.

Nissan Canada Finance allows financing for up to two times the duration of your valid work permit. So if your permit has 12 months remaining, you may be eligible for financing up to 24 months. Our finance team will confirm your specific eligibility when you apply.

Yes, you will need an active Canadian bank account to set up payments. If you are still in the process of getting settled financially, our team can point you in the right direction before you apply.

In most cases, a co-signer is not required. The Nissan Newcomer Program is specifically designed to support new Canadians without an established Canadian credit history, so the standard approval process does not rely on a co-signer.
